Announcing Dr. Huie's Best Picture

We are pleased to announce that this year's Dr. Huie's Best Picture screening will be Little Women. Join us at the Alamo Drafthouse, Wednesday, March 25, for a screening and discussion led by Dr. Huie. Plan to arrive early to visit! We'll have a DJ spinning vinyl in the lounge starting at 6, and Dr. Huie will introduce the film at 7.

With its stellar cast and smart reworking of classic source material, Little Women made many critics' top 10 lists for 2019. In addition to Laura Dern's Oscar win for Best Supporting Actress, the film was nominated for Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Original Score, and Best Adapted Screenplay. Many believe Great Gerwig should have been nominated for Best Director as well!
